Michel M. Dard, DDS, MS, PhD was trained in dentistry and oral medicine in France (Universities of Bordeaux and Nantes) and at New York University, College of Dentistry, NY, USA where he served as a faculty.
He holds a degree in Management and Administration (University of Aix-Marseille, France).
Having started his corporate manager career in the pharmaceutical industry (Merck, Germany, and USA) Michel M. Dard occupied in parallel leading positions at INSERM-NIH (National Institute of Health & Medical Research, Paris, France) and at the Directorate General for Research and Innovation (European Commission, Brussels, Belgium).
He joined Institut Straumann (Basel, Switzerland) in 2003 where he ended up a 20-year long journey as the Global Medical Director of the Straumann Group.
He is currently a faculty at Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine, New York, USA, and the CEO of BioCellgraft Inc.
He authored more than 170 peer-reviewed international publications and book chapters or monographs. He issued a major methodological textbook with title “Surgical Research in Implant Dentistry” (453 pp, Springer) in November 2023.
He lectures globally at most noticeable offline and online international congress, industry symposiums, University seminars and before scientific societies on business management, innovation strategy related to medical devices, regenerative medicine, dentistry, and oro-facial rehabilitation.
