Background & Education
Michel M. Dard was trained in dentistry and oral medicine in France at the Universities of Bordeaux and Nantes, and at New York University College of Dentistry, where he also served as faculty. He holds a degree in Management and Administration from the University of Aix-Marseille II and an MS in Implantology from New York University.
His PhD research focused on the characterization of bone remodeling following the placement of oral titanium implants. He was a pioneer in the use of biomaterials for alveolar ridge augmentation and performed the first clinical application of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) in implant dentistry.
Research & Publications
Dr. Dard has authored or contributed to more than 100 clinical and scientific publications and book chapters. In November 2023, he published a major methodological textbook, Surgical Research in Implant Dentistry (453 pp, Springer).
Global Engagement
He lectures globally at major international congresses, industry symposiums, university seminars, and before scientific societies on business management, innovation strategy related to medical devices, regenerative medicine, dentistry, and oro-facial rehabilitation.
